4. UBI Apprentice Recruitment 2024 : Stipend
Stipend and Benefits for Apprentices
- Stipend: Apprentices will receive a stipend of ₹15,000 per month during the one-year engagement period.
- No Additional Allowances/Benefits: Apart from the stipend, apprentices are not eligible for any other allowances or benefits.

Selection Process for Apprenticeship
The selection process for candidates applying for the apprenticeship program at Union Bank of India includes the following stages:
- Online Test (Objective Type):
- The test consists of four sections:
- General/Financial Awareness: 25 Questions, 25 Marks
- General English: 25 Questions, 25 Marks
- Quantitative & Reasoning Aptitude: 25 Questions, 25 Marks
- Computer Knowledge: 25 Questions, 25 Marks
- Total: 100 Questions, 100 Marks
- Duration: 60 minutes
- The test consists of four sections:
- Knowledge and Test of Local Language:
- Candidates must be proficient in one of the local languages of the state they are applying for (reading, writing, speaking, and understanding).
- Candidates need to produce their 10th/12th standard mark sheet or certificate as proof of having studied the specified local language.
- If unable to provide this proof, candidates must pass a local language test during Personal Interaction & Document Verification.
- Wait List:
- A waitlist of successful candidates will be prepared to address the potential non-acceptance or non-reporting by selected candidates from the First Merit List.
- Medical Examination:

Final Selection Criteria for Apprenticeship
The final selection for the apprenticeship program is subject to the following conditions:
- Cut-off Marks:
- Candidates must meet the cut-off marks in the online examination as determined by the Bank.

8. UBI Apprentice Recruitment 2024 : General Information
General Information
- Previous Apprenticeship: Candidates who have previously undergone apprenticeship with Union Bank of India or any other organization, or who are currently pursuing apprenticeship training as per the Apprenticeship Act 1961 (as amended), are ineligible.
- Job Experience: Candidates with one year or more of job experience after obtaining their educational qualifications are not eligible for apprenticeship.
- Employment Obligation: Union Bank of India is not obligated to offer regular employment to apprentices during or after the apprenticeship period. Apprentices will be relieved from training upon completion.
- Bank’s Decision: The Bank’s decisions regarding eligibility, acceptance, rejection of applications, mode of selection, and the selection process are final and binding. No correspondence will be entertained. The Bank reserves the right to not fill all the seats if candidates are unsuitable.
- Incomplete Applications: Incomplete online applications will be considered “Rejected.”
- Eligibility Verification: Eligibility will be determined at the time of document verification. Admission to tests is provisional and does not guarantee eligibility.
- Application Timing: Apply well before the closing date to avoid issues with website overload or other technical difficulties.

- Apprenticeship Status: Apprentices are trainees and not workers; labor laws do not apply.
- Leaving Apprenticeship: If an apprentice wants to leave before the contract ends, they can only do so at the end of the quarter. If an apprentice drops out or absconds during a quarter, they must refund the stipend paid for that period.
- Dispute Resolution: Disputes or disagreements arising from the contract will be referred to the Apprenticeship Advisor.
- Jurisdiction: Legal proceedings related to this advertisement or application can only be instituted in Mumbai, where the courts/tribunals/forums have sole jurisdiction.
- Test Costs: Candidates must bear the cost of appearing for the tests.
- Medical Fitness: Engagement is subject to being declared medically fit and satisfactory completion of document verification.
