2. AAI Recruitment 2024 : Eligibility and Qualification

Eligibility Criteria:

  1. Age and Health:
    • Retired officials should be medically fit and not more than 70 years old.
  2. Cooling-Off Period:
    • A one-month cooling-off period is required after superannuation.
  3. Vigilance/Disciplinary Clearance:
    • Candidates must be clear from vigilance and disciplinary actions at the time of retirement. Supporting documents to this effect are required.
  4. Criminal Record:
    • There should be no pending criminal cases against the candidate, which must be self-certified.
  5. Availability:
    • Candidates should be willing to join immediately or on short notice.

3. AAI Recruitment 2024 : Period of Engagement

Period of Engagement:

  1. Duration:
    • The initial engagement of the Consultant will be for one year and is extendable by another year.
  2. Full-Time Basis:
    • The appointment is on a full-time basis, and the consultant will not be allowed to take up any other assignments during the consultancy period.
  3. Resignation/Termination:
    • Both AAI and the consultant can resign or terminate services by giving a one-month notice period or one month’s remuneration in lieu of the notice period.
  4. Termination for Non-Performance:
    • AAI reserves the right to terminate the services for non-performance or unsatisfactory performance, as well as if the consultant remains absent for more than 15 days unauthorizedly.

4. AAI Recruitment 2024 : Jobs to be Carried Out

Jobs to be Carried Out:

  1. Maintenance and Operations:
    • Provide support and services for the maintenance, upkeep, and operation of all CNS (Communication, Navigation & Surveillance) / AS (Airport Systems) facilities at the airport on a daily basis.
  2. Preventive Maintenance:
    • Carry out preventive maintenance schedules on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.
  3. Coordination:
    • Coordinate with the concerned Mentor Airport and RHQ ER Kolkata for any operational or administrative requirements.
  4. Fault/Breakdown Management:
    • Timely inform the concerned Mentor Airport and RHQ ER Kolkata about any faults, breakdowns, or incidents.
  5. Vendor Contact:
    • Contact vendors/OEMs (Original Equipment Manufacturers) if required to ensure equipment is in good working condition.
  6. Inventory and Records:
    • Manage inventory and maintain all types of records related to the equipment and systems.

Attendance & Leave:

  1. Attendance:
    • Consultants must mark their biometric/manual attendance daily at the reporting place, in line with AAI employees’ attendance system.
  2. Leave Entitlement:
    • Consultants are entitled to 15 days of leave in a calendar year on a pro-rata basis.
  3. Leave Deductions:
    • Remuneration will not be paid for absences beyond 12 days in one spell within a year.
  4. Leave Carry Forward:
    • Unavailed leave cannot be carried forward to the next calendar year or encashed at the end of the tenure.
  5. Absence Deductions:
    • For absences beyond the allowed leave and holidays, proportionate payment will be deducted from the consultancy fee.

5. AAI Recruitment 2024 : Selection Process

Selection Criterion:

  1. Selection Process:
    • The selection will be conducted through an interview, which may be either personal or via video conference (VC), organized by the Regional Headquarters, Kolkata.
  2. Full-Time Engagement:
    • The Consultant position is on a full-time basis. Consultants are not allowed to undertake any other assignments during the period of consultancy.
  3. Discretionary Rights:
    • AAI RHQ ER reserves the right to cancel the advertisement or not proceed with the recruitment process at any stage. They also have the authority to accept or reject any or all applications without providing an explanation.

6. AAI Recruitment 2024 : Application Process

Application Instructions and Remuneration:

  1. Application Submission:
    • Interested candidates should send their applications via email to hrrhqer@aai.aero using the specified format (Annexure-I) by 15.09.2024.
  2. Remuneration:
    • The remuneration provided is subject to applicable TDS (Tax Deducted at Source) deductions.
  3. Allowances:
    • No additional allowances will be paid, and requests for allowances will not be entertained.
  4. Travel Allowance:
    • No TA/DA (Travel Allowance/Dearness Allowance) will be provided for joining or completing the assignment.
    • However, consultants are eligible for TA/DA for travel within the country related to official work, subject to approval from the Competent Authority.
    • Retired government servants and officials from PSUs appointed as consultants will receive TA/DA as per their last drawn entitlements.
    • For individual consultants who are not government servants or retired PSU officials, TA/DA entitlements will be determined on a case-by-case basis, with approval from the Competent Authority.
