3. SAIL RSP Recruitment 2024 : Walk-in Interview Details
- Rourkela Steel Plant invites eligible candidates to a Walk-in Interview for the engagement of Consultants (Doctors in Medical Disciplines) as GDMO/Specialist/Super Specialist for its hospitals in Rourkela and the Odisha Group of Mines (OGoM) on a contractual basis.
- Candidates must attend the interview with the required documents as detailed in the eligibility section.
4. SAIL RSP Recruitment 2024 : Pay Scale
- The monthly remuneration applies for a minimum of 8 hours per day, 6 days a week (48 hours total). If the engagement is less than this, the rates will be adjusted proportionally.
5. SAIL RSP Recruitment 2024 : Other Benefits
a.) Housing:
- Ex-SAIL Employees (up to E-7 grade): May retain allotted accommodation during engagement, with applicable rent and charges. Higher-grade ex-employees or those with designated accommodation will receive similar housing based on availability. Other ex-employees may be considered for accommodation as per entitlement at separation, subject to availability and charges.
- Non-SAIL Employees: Can be provided with company accommodation (2 BR or equivalent) on a payment basis, subject to availability. Charges will be as per SAIL employee rates.
- Mines Locations: Accommodation is rent-free, though other charges apply. Family accommodation at plant/unit locations may be provided on a payment basis if desired.
- HRA: Not applicable.
b.) Communication Facility: Post-paid SIM with a ceiling of Rs. 650/- for Super Specialists, Rs. 500/- for Specialists, and Rs. 350/- for GDMOs, covering monthly call charges, rental, and taxes.
c.) Medical Benefit: Ex-SAIL employees retain their medical benefits. Others receive benefits for self and spouse at the hospital without referrals.
d.) Leave: Eligible for 10 days of leave per year.

General Instructions
- Candidates must be Indian nationals with qualifications from MCI/NMC/NBE-recognized institutions.
- Bring the following documents to the walk-in interview:
- Completed Application Format (Annexure-A) with a recent passport-sized photo.
- Proof of Date of Birth (SSLC/Matriculation Certificate).
- Certificates & mark sheets of required qualifications, including Internship Completion Certificate.
- Caste/Category certificate (if applicable).
- Valid Registration Certificate from the Medical Council of India or State Medical Council.
- Experience Certificate(s) or Service Certificate for retired employees.
- Photo ID (Voter ID/Aadhaar Card/Passport/Driving License).
- NOC from current employer if employed under PSUs/Autonomous Bodies/Govt. Department.
- Self-Certificate for non-separation due to Voluntary Retirement (for ex-employees of SAIL and other PSUs/Govt.).
- No TA/DA will be provided for attending the interview.
- SAIL reserves the right to reject applications or cancel the selection process without notice.
- False information or non-conformity with eligibility criteria will lead to rejection.
- Performance will be reviewed periodically; tenure may be adjusted based on performance.

Other Terms & Conditions
- Temporary Nature: The Consultant (Doctor) role is temporary and does not guarantee regular appointment or any specific benefits unless stated. RSP’s decisions are final and binding.
- Reservation Policy: Presidential directives on reservation will be followed.
- Benefits: No PF/Gratuity or additional benefits unless specified.
- Maternity Leave: Eligible for Maternity Leave as per the Maternity Benefit Act, 1961, subject to conditions.
- Non-Practicing Allowance: Not eligible. Private practice allowed if it does not interfere with assigned working hours.
- Extra Hours: Must provide services beyond normal hours in emergencies without additional remuneration.
- Use of Assets: Responsible for proper use of company assets; must return all assets upon contract expiration or termination. Income Tax/GST will be handled as per applicable laws.
- Termination: Either party can terminate with one month’s notice. Immediate termination can occur due to:
- Medical unfitness.
- Poor performance.
- Moral turpitude, legal conviction, insolvency, loss of license, grave misconduct, or financial irregularities.
