5. Selection Process

1. Screening & Scrutiny: Applications will be screened and scrutinized. No written test or viva will be conducted.

2. Selection Basis: Selection is based on a merit list, which is created by averaging the percentage marks from both Matriculation/SSC/10th (minimum 50% aggregate) and ITI exams, with equal weight given to both.

3. Tie-Breaker Criteria: If two candidates have the same marks:

  • Older candidates will be preferred.
  • If dates of birth are also the same, the candidate who passed the matriculation exam earlier will be given preference.

4. Final Merit List: A final merit list will be prepared for each cluster, trade, and community based on the descending order of marks obtained in SSC/Matriculation/10th and ITI.

5. Document Verification: Any discrepancies between the marks/CGPA entered in the application and the original documents found during verification will result in the rejection of the candidature.

6. Calculation of Marks: The merit list will be based on the average marks from both the 10th grade and ITI exams.
