Job Description
- IPR Portfolio Management: Overseeing the Intellectual Property Rights portfolio, ensuring effective protection and commercialization.
- Drafting MoUs: Creating Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) for the commercialization of technologies and research outputs.
- Conducting ITMC Meetings: Organizing and facilitating meetings of the Intellectual Property Technical Management Committee (ITMC).
- Filling Applications: Managing the filing of varieties, germplasm, bioagents, etc., with PPV&FRA (Protection of Plant Varieties and Farmers’ Rights Authority) and other biosafety regulatory agencies.
- Report Preparation: Compiling and preparing reports on IPR activities, commercialization, and regulatory processes.
- Fund Management: Handling financial aspects related to the IPR and commercialization activities, including managing project funds.

1. Essential Qualifications:
- Master’s Degree in Agriculture discipline or IPR with:
- A Bachelor’s degree with 1st division and at least 3 years of research experience (evidence from fellowship, associateship, or other engagements as per F.No.2-9/2012-HRD dated 25.04.2014).
- At least one research paper published in a Science Citation Index (SCI) or NAAS-rated journal (≥4.0), as per OM SR/S9/Z-09/2018 of DST dated 30.01.2029.
OR
- Ph.D. in Agriculture (relevant subject) or IPR.
2. Desirable Qualifications:
- 1-2 years of experience in the related field.
3. Age Limit (as on 02.12.2024):
- Maximum 40 years for men.
- Maximum 45 years for women.
