Candidate selected against this advertisement will be posted at Rawatbhata Rajasthan Site (RR Site), NPCIL. However, they are liable to serve in any part of India and can be transferred to any of the NPCIL Units/Sites, Head Quarter (Mumbai) or Upcoming Projects of NPCIL as may be required in the Corporation interest.

The period of training for the post of Category-II Stipendiary Trainee (ST/TN) will be 2 years.

The OMR based or Computer Based Test (CBT) Written Examination will be held in two stages.
Stage-1- Preliminary Test (1 Hour Duration)
Stage-2- Advanced Test (2 Hours Duration)
Stage-1 – Preliminary Test: It will be a screening examination to be held to shortlist candidates. The format of screening examination shall be common for all trades and will be in the following format:
1. Examination will comprise 50 Multiple Choice Questions (Choice of 04 answers) of 01 (one) hour duration in the following proportion:
2. 03 (Three) marks shall be awarded for each correct answer and 01 (one) mark shall be deducted for each incorrect answer.
3. Tests may be conducted in single/multiple sessions depending upon logistics requirements.
Stage-2 – Advanced Test [Test will be of 02 (two) hours duration]
1. All the candidates appearing in Stage-1 will undertake the Stage-2 (Advanced test). The test will be of 02 (two) hours duration for a Maximum of 150 marks.
2. The Test will be of 02 (two) hours duration.
3. Category-II Stipendiary Trainee (ST/TN)-Operator: The level of questions will be based on the syllabus in HSC or ISC.
4. Category-II Stipendiary Trainee (ST/TN)-Maintainer: The level of questions will be based on their respective trade.
5. The Test will comprise 50 Multiple Choice Questions (Choice of four answers) with 03 (Three) marks shall be awarded for each correct answer and 01 (one) mark shall be deducted for each incorrect answer.
Category-II Stipendiary Trainee ST/TN (Operator): –
1. There will not be any Skill Test for Category-II Stipendiary Trainee (ST/TN)-Operator for which the prescribed qualification is HSC/ISC. The number of candidates shortlisted for Physical Standard Test/Document Verification after written examination will be 3 times of the number of vacancies for each category. If the number of candidates qualified in written test is less than 3 times of the number of vacancies for each category, then all the qualified and eligible candidates are to be called for Physical Standard Test/Document Verification.
2. However, in case of tie the number of candidates to be shortlisted for Physical Standard Test /Document Verification may exceed the limit of 3 times.
3. Candidates clearing the Physical Standard Test /Document Verification will be shortlisted and empanelled in order of merit based on marks secured in Stage-2.
Category-II Stipendiary Trainee ST/TN (Maintainer): –
Based upon the merit list prepared after Stage-2, candidates will be shortlisted for Skill Test.
Stage 3: Skill Test (Only for the post of Category-II Stipendiary Trainee (ST/TN)-Maintainer)
1. Based upon the merit list prepared after Stage-2, Candidates in each trade shall be shortlisted for Skill Test.
2. The number of candidates shortlisted for Skill Test would depend upon the number of candidates qualifying in Written Test but will not exceed 5 times of the number of vacancies for each post and category. If the number of candidates qualified in Written Test is less than 5 times of the number of vacancies for each post and category, then all the qualified and eligible candidates will be shortlisted for Skill Test.
3. If there are more than 01 candidate with the same cut off mark (while shortlisting for Physical Standard Test/Document verification/Skill test), then all the candidates with the same mark will be shortlisted for Skill test.
4. In case adequate number of candidates are not available, then Skill Test will be conducted only for qualified candidates and will not be adjusted from candidates qualified in other categories.
