Selection Process
The selection process for the various posts will include written exams and, in some cases, additional tests as detailed below:
Shortlisting of Candidates
- All applications received within the stipulated date will be considered for shortlisting by the screening committee.
- Only candidates recommended by the committee will be called for the written examination.
1. Library Information Assistant (LIA)
- Written Exam: Objective-type multiple-choice questions (MCQs).
- Syllabus:
- General Awareness: 25 marks
- Mental Ability & Reasoning: 25 marks
- General English (qualifying): 25 marks
- Library Science: 25 marks
2. Lower Division Clerk (LDC)
- Written Exam: Objective-type MCQs.
- Syllabus:
- Quantitative Aptitude: 25 marks
- General English (qualifying): 25 marks
- General Awareness: 25 marks
- General Intelligence: 25 marks
- Typewriting Test:
- English/Hindi typing test for 100 marks for shortlisted candidates.
3. Multi-Tasking Staff (MTS)
- Written Exam: Objective-type MCQs.
- Syllabus:
- General Intelligence & Reasoning: 25 marks
- General Awareness: 25 marks
- Numerical Aptitude: 25 marks
- General English (qualifying): 25 marks
Exam Details for All Posts
- Duration: 3 hours for the written exam.
- Scoring: Each correct answer earns 1 mark, and 1/3 mark is deducted for each incorrect answer.
- Tie-Breaking: In case of a tie in marks, general rules will apply to finalize the merit list.
- Dates & Time: The specific date and time of the written exam and typewriting skill test will be notified separately to the shortlisted candidates.

4. Multiple Applications
- If applying for more than one post, candidates must submit separate applications with the required fee and documents for each post. Applications for multiple posts in a single form will not be entertained.
5. Photographs
- Affix one passport-sized photograph on the application form.
- Attach three additional identical photographs along with the application, stapled on the first page of the filled application form.
- Write your name and the post applied for in capital letters on the back of each photograph.
