3. CMWSSB Recruitment 2024 : Eligibility Criteria
a.) Minimum Educational Qualifications
Category – I Graduate Apprentices:
- Degree in Engineering or Technology (Full-Time): Must be granted by a Statutory University in the relevant discipline.
- Degree in Engineering or Technology (Full-Time): Granted by an Institution empowered to grant such a degree by an Act of Parliament in the relevant discipline.
- Graduate Examination of Professional Bodies: Recognized by the State Government or Central Government as equivalent to the above qualifications.
Category – II Technician (Diploma) Apprentices:
- Diploma in Engineering or Technology (Full-Time): Must be granted by a State Council or Board of Technical Education established by a State Government in the relevant discipline.
- Diploma in Engineering or Technology (Full-Time): Granted by a University in the relevant discipline.
- Diploma in Engineering or Technology: Granted by an Institution recognized by the State Government or Central Government as equivalent to the above qualifications.
b.) Age Limit:
- The age limit will be followed as per Apprenticeship Rules.
c.) Previous Training/Experience:
- Candidates who have already undergone or are currently undergoing apprenticeship under the Apprenticeship (Amendment) Act 1973, and/or have one year or more experience are NOT ELIGIBLE to apply.
d.) Minimum Physical Standards:
- As prescribed in Clause 4 of the Apprenticeship Rule 1992 and its amendments, if any.
4. CMWSSB Recruitment 2024 : Selection Process
Selection Process
- Shortlisting by Board of Apprenticeship Training (SR):
- The Board of Apprenticeship Training (Southern Region) is responsible for preparing the shortlist of candidates based on the online application data.
- Criteria for Shortlisting:
- Candidates will be shortlisted based on the percentage of marks obtained in the basic prescribed qualification relevant to their respective disciplines.
- Notification of Shortlisted Candidates:
- Shortlisted candidates will be informed through their registered email IDs.
- Certificate Verification:
- Shortlisted candidates will be required to appear for Certificate Verification at CMWSSB, Chennai on the scheduled date.
