Eligibility Criteria

1. Employment Status

  • The applicant must be employed in a regular capacity (not contractual/ad-hoc) on both the date of application and the interview in one of the following:
    • Central Public Sector Enterprise (CPSE): Includes full-time functional Directors in CPSE Boards.
    • Central Government Group ‘A’ Officers: Includes Armed Forces of the Union, All India Services, and officers from Public Sector Banks, Financial Institutions, or Autonomous Bodies.
    • State Public Sector Enterprise (SPSE): Organizations with an annual turnover of ₹2,000 crore or more.
    • Private Sector Companies: Companies with an annual turnover of ₹2,000 crore or more.
  • Preference: Candidates from listed companies will be given priority.
    • Note: The average audited annual turnover of the last three financial years will be considered to meet the turnover criteria.

2. Qualification

  • Essential Qualification:
    • Engineering graduate in Mechanical, Naval Architecture, or Marine Engineering from a recognized university/institution with a good academic record.
  • Desirable Qualification:
    • Postgraduate qualification in:
      • Personnel Management
      • Human Resources Management
      • MBA
      • PGDM/PGPM from a recognized university/institution.

3. Experience

  • Essential Experience:
    • At least five years of cumulative experience within the last ten years in:
      • Shipbuilding, Ship Repair, or Submarine Sector in an organization of repute.
    • Preferred Experience:
      • At least one year in:
        • Preparation of Corporate Plans.
        • Personnel/HR Management at a senior level.

Salary Details

  • Salary Range: ₹180,000 – ₹340,000 (IDA) per month.

Selection Process

1. Application Screening:

  • Only applications submitted as per guidelines will be considered for the initial screening process.

2. Shortlisting of Candidates:

  • Candidates meeting the eligibility and qualification criteria will be shortlisted.

3. Interview:

  • Shortlisted candidates will be notified and called for an interview, where they will be evaluated based on their performance and suitability for the position.

1. Fill Out the Application Form:

  • Applicants must fill up the application form online against the Job Description on the PESB website: Apply Here.
  • After filling the form, applicants should either:
    • Submit online as specified in para V(1).
    • Take a printout of the application form and send it offline, as specified in para V(1).

2. Application Address for Offline Submission:

  • If sending the application offline, please address it to:

3. Submission Deadline:

  • For Applicants: The last date for submission of applications is 03:00 PM on 25.12.2024.
  • For Nodal Officers: Applications must be forwarded to PESB by 03:00 PM on 03.01.2025.
  • Late applications or incomplete submissions will not be entertained.

4. Submission Process for Different Sectors:

  • Group ‘A’ Central Government Officers (including Armed Forces and All India Services): Submit through the Cadre Controlling authority.
  • Officers from Public Sector Banks/Financial Institutions/Autonomous Bodies: Submit through their Administrative Ministry/Department of the Govt. of India.
  • CMDs/MDs/Functional Directors in CPSE: Submit through the concerned Administrative Ministry.
  • Below Board level in CPSE: Submit through the concerned CPSE.
  • CMDs/MDs/Functional Directors in State PSE: Submit through the concerned Administrative Secretary and Cadre Controlling Authority (if any).
  • Below Board level in SPSE: Submit through the concerned SPSE.
  • Private Sector Applicants: Submit directly to PESB.

5. Required Documents for Private Sector Applicants:

  • Annual Reports of the company where currently employed for the last 3 financial years.
  • Listing Status: Proof of whether the company is listed or not.
  • Board-Level Experience: Evidence of working at the Board level or a post just below it.
  • Self-Attested Copies: Documents supporting age, qualifications, and relevant experience.

6. Important Note:

  • Board reserves the right to shortlist applicants for interviews according to the applicable guidelines.
  • No application will be entertained after the stipulated date.
