4. IOB Apprentice Recruitment 2024 : Stipend Details

Stipend Details

The stipend for apprentices will be paid directly to their bank accounts on a monthly basis. Here are the key details:

  • Stipend Amount:
    • The government share of the stipend is ₹4,500/- per month. This amount will be credited to the apprentices’ bank accounts through the Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) mode, following the existing guidelines.
  • Adjustments:
    • The stipend will be paid after adjusting for any unauthorized leaves taken by the apprentices.
  • Other Benefits:
    • Apprentices are not eligible for any additional allowances or benefits beyond the stipend.

Important: Only eligible candidates will receive an email from BFSI SSC regarding the payment of the requisite examination fees/intimation charges. Payment must be made online only, from 28.08.2024 to 15.09.2024. No other payment methods will be accepted.

6. IOB Apprentice Recruitment 2024 : Selection Process

The selection for the apprenticeship will be based on the following stages:

  1. Online Written Examination (Objective Type)
    • Duration: 90 minutes
    • Notification: All applicants who have paid the examination fee will receive an intimation from BFSI Sector Skill Council of India (BFSI SSC) with details on the date and timing of the examination.
    • Examination Mode: The online examination must be taken on the specified date and time using a camera-enabled desktop, laptop, tablet, or smartphone.
    • ID Proof: Candidates must display the same ID proof during the examination as uploaded on the apprenticeship portal.
    • Proctoring: Except for PwBD candidates, no one else is allowed near the candidate during the examination. Guidelines will be provided by the exam conducting agency.
    • Minimum Marks: Candidates must achieve a minimum aggregate percentage as decided by the Bank (with a 5% relaxation for SC/ST/OBC/PwBD candidates). There are no minimum qualifying marks for individual subjects.
    • Merit-Based Selection: Candidates will be selected based on merit and reservation rules. In the case of a tie (same marks at the cutoff point), the candidate older in age will be ranked higher.
    • Results: Results of the qualified candidates and the final selection list will be published on the official website. A waitlist will also be maintained for one year from the date of the result or the next engagement exercise, whichever is earlier.
    • Information Handout: Detailed information about the examination process will be provided in the “Information Handout,” which will be emailed to all eligible candidates by BFSI SSC.
  2. Test of Local Language
    • Requirement: Candidates applying for training seats in a specific state must be proficient in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding at least one of the local languages of that state (as specified during the application process).
    • Test Timing: The local language test will be conducted after the online written examination as part of the document verification process.

    • Provide your NATS Enrolment number while filling out the online application form.

3. Procedure and Conditions for Applying Online:

  • Proof of Date of Birth: Birth Certificate or SSLC/Std. X Certificate with DOB.
  • Photo ID Proof: Passport, Aadhaar, e-Aadhaar Card, PAN Card, Driving Licence, or Voter’s Card.
  • Educational Certificates: Consolidated mark sheets and relevant certificates for educational qualifications.
  • Caste Certificate: For SC/ST/OBC/EWS candidates, issued by competent authority.
  • OBC Certificate: For OBC candidates, the certificate must specify non-creamy layer status, valid as of the date of document verification/personal interaction.
  • Disability Certificate: For Persons with Benchmark Disabilities, issued by the District Medical Board.
  • 1984 Riot Victims: Certificate from the District Magistrate for age relaxation.
  • Additional Documents: Any other documents relevant to eligibility.
  • Candidates failing to produce these documents will not be allowed to participate in the personal interaction or join as an apprentice.
