5. Jammu Cantonment Board Recruitment 2024 : Selection Process
Selection Process
Mode of Selection: Selection will be based on the candidate’s performance in the following tests:
a.) Written Test:
- The selection and merit will be based solely on a written test.
- Format: Objective Type Questions.
- Total Marks: 100.
- Duration: 120 minutes.
- Answer Format: Answers must be marked on an OMR Answer sheet.
- Scoring:
- Each correct answer earns 1 mark.
- No penalty for unanswered questions.
- If more than one answer is marked for a single question, it will be treated as a wrong answer, even if one marked answer is correct.
b.) Skill Test:
- Candidates who qualify for the written test (as per the criteria set by the appointing authority) will be required to undergo a mandatory skill test.
- Purpose: Demonstration of tasks that are part of the duties of the concerned post.
- Qualifying Marks:
- Passing marks for the skill test will be set by the appointing authority.
- The skill test is qualifying in nature; marks obtained in the skill test will not be considered for final ranking/selection.
- Final ranking for selection will be based solely on the marks obtained in the written examination.
c.) Final Selection Criteria:
- Final selection and merit will consider the results from the written test and the skill test (which is qualifying).
