Eligibility Criteria
- Required Qualification:
- Applicants must have completed General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM) or B.Sc. (Nursing) as of the notification date.
- Applicants must be registered with the Telangana Nursing Council at the time of their application and are required to upload the registration certificate online.
- Equivalent Qualifications:
- If an applicant holds a qualification different from the requisite ones and claims equivalency, the case will be referred to an ‘Expert Committee’ by the Board. The Board will make a decision based on the committee’s report.
- Age Requirements:
- Minimum age: 18 years.
- Maximum age: 46 years, as of 01/07/2024 (as per Rule-12(1)(a)(v) of State and Subordinate Service Rules).

Application Fees
- Examination Fee:
- ₹500/- (Rupees Five Hundred Only).
- No fee exemption for any category under this.
- Application Fee:
- ₹200/- (Rupees Two Hundred Only).
- Exemptions from this fee are applicable for the following categories:
- SC, ST, BC, EWS, PH & Ex-servicemen of Telangana State.
- Unemployed applicants in the age group of 18 to 46 years from Telangana State.
- Note: Applicants from other states are not exempted from payment.
- Mode of Payment:
- Payment is to be made online through the payment gateway after filling out the application form.
- Fees are non-refundable and cannot be adjusted under any circumstances. Failure to make full payment will result in the rejection of the application.

Selection process
- Selection Criteria:
- Written Examination (80 points): Based on percentage of marks obtained in a multiple-choice test worth 80 marks.
- Service Experience (20 points): Awarded for service in state government hospitals/institutions/programmes on a contract/outsourced basis.
- Points for Service:
- Tribal Areas: 2.5 points for every 6 months of service.
- Non-Tribal Areas: 2 points for every 6 months of service.
- Points awarded only for completed 6-month periods.
- Service Verification:
- Points are granted based on experience certificates issued by competent authorities.
- Service must be in the same category of the post being applied for.
- Tie-breaking:
- If two candidates have the same marks, the candidate with higher age will be ranked higher. If the date of birth is also the same, marks obtained in the qualifying exam will be considered.
- Merit List:
- The merit list will be displayed on the Board’s website.

Written Examination Details:
- Type of Exam:
- The exam will be a Computer Based Test (CBT) consisting of 80 multiple-choice questions, each carrying 1 mark.
- Exam Date:
- The Computer Based Test will take place on 17th November 2024.
- Normalization:
- If the exam is conducted in more than one session, the scores will be normalized. No normalization will be done if the exam is held in a single session.
- Answer Key:
- The exam key will be released online, and candidates can raise objections online. Objections submitted through other means will not be considered. After a review by experts, the final key will be published, and no further objections will be entertained.
- Scoring:
- Marks for any deleted questions will be awarded proportionately. Scores will be rounded up to three decimal places for merit determination.
- Language:
- The question paper will be set in English.

How to Apply
- Online Submission:
- Applications must be submitted online through the MHSRB website.
- Document Upload:
- Applicants must upload all required certificates during the online submission. Original certificates will be verified during the scrutiny process before the final selection list is prepared.

- Once the application is submitted online, it will be considered final and no changes will be allowed afterward.
- Reference ID Number:
