To apply online for NRCB Recruitment 2024, candidates must fulfill the eligibility criteria discussed in this section:

Eligibility Criteria

Qualification:

  • Bachelor of Science / B.C.A. / Diploma (passed in the years 2020, 2021, 2022, 2023, 2024 only) and must be registered in the MHRD NATS Portal (www.mhrdnats.gov.in), which is mandatory.
  • Candidates who have previously undergone Apprenticeship or are currently undergoing Apprenticeship Training or are employed elsewhere and registered for Apprenticeship Training under the Apprentices (Amendment) Act 1973 are not eligible to apply.

Minimum Educational Qualifications:

  • Category I: Graduate Apprentices
    • A Degree in Chemistry from a statutory University.
    • A Degree in Biotechnology from a statutory University.
    • A Degree in Computer Science from a statutory University.
    • A Degree in Computer Application from a statutory University.
  • Category II: Technician (Diploma) Apprentices
    • A Diploma in Agriculture / Horticulture from a statutory University.
    • A Diploma in Computer Science / Computer course from a statutory University.

Age Limit:

  • Age limits will be followed as per the Apprenticeship rules.

Reservation of Vacancies:

  • Guidelines under the Apprentices Act will be followed for reservation of SC/ST/OBC/PWD candidates.
  • Aspirants claiming reservation under SC/ST/OBC/PWD must provide a certificate as per the Government standard format. If not provided, their claim will be considered under the General category.
  • BC candidates claiming OBC status must furnish an OBC certificate as per the Government prescribed format from the authorized certificate issuing authority/Tahsildar.

Minimum Physical Standards:

  • As prescribed in Clause 4 of the Apprenticeship Rule 1992 and any amendments thereto.

Duration of Training:

  • The duration of Apprenticeship training will be ONE year as per the Apprentices (Amendment) Act 1973.

Previous Training / Experience:

  • Candidates who have already undergone or are currently undergoing Apprenticeship under the Apprentices (Amendment) Act 1973 or have one year or more of work experience are not eligible to apply.

4. NRCB Recruitment 2024: Selection Process

Selection Procedure

Mode and Criteria of Engagement of Apprentices:

  1. Engagement Basis:
    • The engagement of Graduate and Technician Apprentices will be based purely on merit, determined by the aggregate marks obtained by the candidates in their respective degrees or diplomas.
  2. Preference:
    • Preference will be given to the children of VPA (Visakhapatnam Port Authority) employees. This includes children of:
      • Deceased employees
      • Medically invalidated employees
      • Superannuated employees
      • Serving employees
  3. Final Rank List:
    • A final rank list will be prepared based on categories such as General, SC, ST, OBC.
    • The rank list will be compiled after certificate verification conducted by the ADT BoAT (SR) and officials from ICAR — NRC for Banana, Tiruchirappalli, Tamil Nadu.

General Instructions:

  1. Eligibility Confirmation:
