(a) Educational Educational Qualification
(b) Age
- Candidates should be between 14 and 21 years of age as of 15th April 2025 (i.e., born between 15th April 2004 and 14th April 2011, both dates inclusive).
- Age Relaxation:
- The upper age limit of 21 years is relaxable by 5 years for candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes (SC) / Scheduled Tribes (ST).
- Additionally, the upper age limit may be further relaxed by 2 years at the discretion of Naval Headquarters for candidates meriting special consideration.
(c) Physical Standards
- Height: Minimum of 150 cm
- Weight: Not less than 45 kg
- Chest Expansion: Minimum of 5 cm
- Eye Sight: 6/6 to 6/9 (6/9 corrected with glasses)
- Health: Both external and internal organs should be normal
(d) Previous Training
- Apprenticeship is a one-time opportunity for candidates.
- Candidates who have already undergone or are currently undergoing apprenticeship training under the Apprentices Act, 1961 in any Government, Public Sector, or Private Industrial Organization are not eligible to apply.

Stipend
The minimum monthly stipend payable to apprentices will be as per the qualifications outlined in the curriculum, in accordance with Rule 11 of the Apprenticeship Rules, 1992. The rates are as follows:

Selection Procedure
- Preliminary Selection:
- Based on marks obtained in Matriculation and ITI examinations, as well as age.
- Candidates who qualify will be included in the Preliminary Merit List.
- Written Examination:
- Schedule: January 2025, held in Karwar.
- Format: Objective type.
- Content:
- Mathematics (20 questions)
- General Science (20 questions)
- General Knowledge (10 questions)
- Scoring: Each question carries 1.5 marks.
- Duration: 1 hour.
- Language: Bilingual (English and Hindi).

- Check Aadhar Details:
- Ensure that your name, date of birth, and father’s name on your Aadhar Card match the details on your SSC certificate. If they don’t match, update your Aadhar Card accordingly.
- Register Online:
- Go to www.apprenticeshipindia.gov.in.
- On the homepage, click on the “Candidate Login/Register” module.
- Fill in Registration Details:
- A “Candidate Registration” page will open.
- Enter your personal and contact details in the form and submit it.
- Activate Your Profile:
- After submission, check your email for a system-generated mail for profile activation.
- Click on the activation link to activate your profile.
- Login to Your Profile:
- Return to the homepage of www.apprenticeshipindia.gov.in.
- Click on “Candidate Login/Register”.
- Enter your registered email ID and submit. An OTP will be sent to your registered mobile number for authentication.
- Complete Your Profile:
- Log in and fill in your personal details including date of birth (upload your 10th Std mark sheet or Birth Certificate), father’s name, mother’s name, address, educational qualifications (10th Std & ITI), trade preference, and bank account details.
- Validate your Aadhar Number.
