2. NCDRC Recruitment 2024 : Eligibility Criteria
Eligibility Criteria
a.) Educational Qualification
- Judicial Experience:
- Must be, or have been, a Judge of a High Court; or
- Have, for a combined period of ten years, served as a District Judge and Additional District Judge.
- Specialized Experience:
- Alternatively, the candidate should be a person of ability, integrity, and standing with at least twenty-five years of professional experience in fields such as economics, business, commerce, law, finance, accountancy, management, industry, public affairs, administration, or any other relevant area beneficial to the National Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission.
b.) Age Limit
- Applicants must be under 50 years of age on the application deadline.
3. NCDRC Recruitment 2024 : Selection Process
Selection Process
- Scrutiny and Shortlisting:
- The Search-Cum-Selection Committee, constituted under the Tribunal Reforms Act, 2021, will scrutinize applications to assess the suitability of applicants based on their qualifications and experience.
- Candidates will be shortlisted for personal interaction based on this scrutiny.
- Personal Interaction:
- Shortlisted candidates will be invited for a personal interaction.
- The final selection will be based on the overall evaluation of the candidates by the Committee, considering qualifications, experience, and performance during the personal interaction.
- Selection for Re-appointment:
- Members of the NCDRC are eligible for re-appointment in the same manner as for the original appointment.
- Re-appointment will be considered along with all other candidates shortlisted in response to the vacancy circular or otherwise under the Tribunal Reforms Act, 2021.

- Applications will be accepted from 17 September 2024 to 16 October 2024.
- For Serving Government Officers and Employees of Central/State Government PSUs/Autonomous Bodies:
- Submit a signed hard copy of the online application through the proper channel.
- Send the application to:

- Include the following documents:
- Certificate from the employer/head of office/forwarding authority (as per Annexure-I).
- Clear photocopies of the up-to-date ACR/APAR dossier, containing ACRs/APARs of the last five years, duly attested by a Group A officer.
- Cadre clearance.
- Integrity certificate/clearance from vigilance and disciplinary angle (as per Annexure-II).
- Statement detailing major or minor penalties, if any, imposed in the last ten years.
- For Retired Officers:
- Submit a “No Inquiry Certificate” from the last employer.
