Eligibility Criteria for Deputation Posts
(A) Deputy Secretary/Regional Director
- Number of Posts: One (01)
- Scale of Pay: Level-12 in the pay matrix Rs. 78,800 – 2,09,200 (7th CPC)
Qualifications and Experience:
- Officers under the Central/State Governments/Universities/Recognized Research Institutions/Public Sector Undertakings/Statutory, Semi-Govt., Autonomous or other organizations:
- (a) Holding an analogous post on a regular basis.
- (b) Holding the post of Associate Professor on a regular basis in UGC Scale Level-11 (Rs. 67,700 – 2,08,700).
- (c) Holding posts in Level-11 (Rs. 67,700 – 2,08,700) or equivalent on a regular basis for five years.
- Experience:
- Two years’ experience in administration, educational administration, finance, or legal matters.
- Knowledge of using ICT, handling database management systems, and using offline and online electronic resources.
Notes:
- Departmental officers in the feeder category in the direct line of promotion are not eligible for deputation.
- Deputationists are not eligible for promotion consideration.
- Maximum period of deputation (including ex-cadre posts) should not exceed four years.
- Maximum age limit for deputation: 56 years as of the closing date of receipt of applications.
(B) Under Secretary/Research Officer
- Number of Posts: One (01)
- Scale of Pay: Level-11 in the pay matrix Rs. 67,700 – 2,08,700 (7th CPC)
Qualifications and Experience:
- Officers under the Central/State Governments/Universities/Recognized Research Institutions/Public Sector Undertakings/Statutory, Semi-Govt., Autonomous or other organizations:
- (a) Holding an analogous post on a regular basis.
- (b) Holding the post of Assistant Professor on a regular basis in UGC Scale Level-10 (Rs. 56,100 – 1,77,500) for five years.
- (c) Holding posts in Level-10 (Rs. 56,100 – 1,77,500) or equivalent on a regular basis for five years.
- (d) Holding posts in Level-08 (Rs. 47,600 – 1,51,100) or equivalent on a regular basis for seven years.
- Experience:
- Two years’ experience in administration, educational administration, finance, or legal matters.
- Knowledge of using ICT, handling database management systems, and using offline and online electronic resources.

- Experience:
- Two years’ experience in administration, educational administration, finance, or legal matters.
- Knowledge of using ICT, handling database management systems, and using offline and online electronic resources.

- Departmental officers in the feeder category in the direct line of promotion are not eligible for deputation.

4. NCTE Recruitment 2024 : Selection Procedure
Selection Process
- Shortlisting:
- Candidates who meet the eligibility criteria will be shortlisted for further consideration.
- Interviews:
- Only shortlisted candidates will be called for an interview. Meeting the minimum eligibility requirements does not guarantee an invitation for the interview.
- Final Selection:
- The final selection will be based on performance in the interview and the fulfillment of all required conditions.
- Discretionary Rights:
- NCTE reserves the right to alter the number of posts or to not fill the advertised posts depending on the circumstances.
