Generalists
- A candidate must possess a graduate or post-graduate degree in any discipline from a recognized university or an equivalent qualification recognized by the Central Government.
- For General candidates, a minimum of 60% marks in the degree examination is required.
- For SC/ST/PwBD candidates, a minimum of 55% marks in the degree examination is required.
Specialists
- A candidate must possess the minimum qualification specific to the specialist field as outlined in the recruitment notification.
- The qualification should be from a recognized university or an equivalent qualification recognized by the Central Government.

Note
a) Educational Qualifications: The qualifications should be from a university, institution, or board recognized by the Government of India or approved by government regulatory bodies. The result must have been declared on or before 01.09.2024.
b) Document Submission: At the time of the interview, candidates must provide a proper document from the board or university confirming that the result was declared on or before 01.09.2024.
c) Mark-sheet / Degree Certificate: Candidates must possess a valid mark-sheet or degree certificate for the necessary qualification as of 01.09.2024. Candidates with an Integrated Dual Degree (IDD) certificate should ensure that the date of passing the IDD is on or before 01.09.2024.
d) Percentage Calculation: The percentage of marks will be calculated by dividing the total marks obtained by the candidate in all subjects across all semesters/years by the aggregate maximum marks in all subjects. This applies irrespective of honors/optional/additional optional subjects. For universities where class/grade is based only on honors marks, this rule applies. Fractions of percentages will be ignored (e.g., 59.99% will be treated as less than 60%).
e) CGPA / OGPA: Candidates with a CGPA/OGPA must provide a certificate from the appropriate authority stating the norms for converting grades into percentages and the percentage of marks obtained according to these norms.

5. NIACL AO Recruitment 2024 : Pay Scale
Emoluments & Benefits
- Basic Pay: Rs. 50,925/- in the scale of Rs. 50,925-2,500(14)-85,925-2,710(4)-96,765.
- Gross Emoluments: Approximately Rs. 88,000/- per month in Metropolitan Centers.
- Allowances: Other admissible allowances as applicable.

6. NIACL AO Recruitment 2024 : Selection Procedure
Phase-I: Preliminary Examination
- Format: The Preliminary Examination will consist of Objective Tests for a total of 100 marks and will be conducted online.
- Structure: The examination will be divided into 3 sections, each with a separate timing.
- Qualification Criteria: Candidates must qualify in each test/section by securing passing marks as decided by the Company.
- Shortlisting: Adequate number of candidates in each category, as determined by the Company (approximately 15 times the number of vacancies, subject to availability), will be shortlisted for the Main Examination.

Phase – II: Main Examination
The Main Examination will consist of both Objective Tests and a Descriptive Test, conducted online.
I. Objective Test
- Duration: 2.5 hours.
- Format: The Objective Test will be divided into multiple sections with separate timings for each.

II. Descriptive Test
- Duration: 30 minutes.
- Marks: 30 marks.
- Content: The Descriptive Test will assess English Language skills, including Letter Writing (10 marks) and Essay Writing (20 marks).
- Mode: The Descriptive Test will be administered online, and answers will be typed on the computer. It will be conducted immediately after the Objective Test.
Scoring and Evaluation:
- Objective Test: Candidates must obtain a minimum score in each section of the Objective Test to qualify for the Descriptive Test.
- Descriptive Test: The Descriptive Test will be evaluated only for candidates who qualify the Objective Test. Minimum qualifying marks for the Descriptive Test are 15/30 (13.5/30 for SC, ST, and PwBD candidates). The Descriptive Test will not be counted towards the final selection, but qualifying marks are required to move to the interview stage.
- Total Score: Candidates must achieve a minimum total score in the Objective Test and qualify in the Descriptive Test to be shortlisted for the Interview.
Penalty for Wrong Answers:
- There will be a penalty for incorrect answers in the Objective Tests. For each wrong answer, one-fourth of the marks assigned to that question will be deducted.
- No penalty will be applied for questions left blank.
Note: The Company reserves the right to modify the examination structure. Any changes will be communicated through the Company’s website.
Phase – III: Interview
Candidates who are shortlisted after Phase-II will be invited for an Interview conducted by the Company.
- Interview Centres: The Interview will be held at select centres. The specific centre, address, time, and date of the Interview will be communicated to the shortlisted candidates via their call letters.
- Weightage: The weightage for the final selection process will be 75% for the online Examination and 25% for the Interview.
- Call Letter: Shortlisted candidates must download their interview call letters from the Company’s website.
- Requests for Changes: Requests for changes in the interview date, centre, etc., will not be entertained. However, the Company reserves the right to alter the date, venue, time, or centre of the Interview or to conduct supplementary processes as needed, in case of unforeseen circumstances.
Final Selection
- Basis of Selection: Final selection will be based on the consolidated marks obtained in the Main Examination (Objective Test) and the Interview. The final merit list will be prepared in descending order of consolidated marks.
- Merit List: Candidates who fall within the number of vacancies as per the merit list will be considered for appointment. Selected candidates may be appointed in multiple batches at the discretion of the Management. Seniority will be determined according to the merit/selection list.
- Waiting List: A Waiting List of candidates, not exceeding 50% of the number of vacancies, may be prepared and utilized if selected candidates do not accept the employment offer.
- Tie-breaking Criteria: In case of a tie (i.e., two or more candidates having the same score):
- Marks obtained in the Interview will be considered first (the candidate with higher interview marks will be placed higher).
- If Interview marks are the same, the date of birth will be used (the older candidate will be placed higher).
- Medical Fitness and Rules: Appointment of selected candidates is subject to being found medically fit as per the Company’s requirements. It will also be subject to adherence to the service and conduct rules of the Company.
- Eligibility: Candidates should ensure they meet the age and qualification requirements as of the respective crucial dates before applying. Ineligible candidates will have their candidature canceled at any stage of the recruitment process. Appearing in the Online Examination and Interview does not guarantee selection.
- Documents Required for Online Examination: Candidates must present the following documents to be allowed to appear for the online examination:
- Valid Call Letter for the specific date and session of the Examination.
- Original photo-identity proof (as specified) with the same name and details as on the call letter/application form.
- A photocopy of the photo-identity proof (as detailed below*).
List of Documents to be Produced at the Time of Interview (As Applicable)
Candidates must bring the following documents in original and self-attested photocopies to the Interview. Failure to provide these documents may result in the candidate being disqualified from further participation in the recruitment process.
- Printout of the Valid Interview Call Letter.
- Valid System Generated Printout of the Online Application Form registered for the online examination.
- Proof of Date of Birth:
- Birth Certificate issued by competent Municipal Authorities, or
- SSLC/ Std. X Certificate with Date of Birth.
- Photo Identity Proof as specified in the IDENTITY VERIFICATION section of the advertisement.
- Mark-sheets & Certificates:
- For Std X, XII, Graduation, and Post-Graduation (if applicable) or equivalent qualifications.
- Document from Board/University confirming results declared on or before 01.09.2024.
- If CGPA/OGPA is awarded, a certificate from the University regarding conversion norms and percentage of marks must be provided.
- Caste Certificate (if applicable):
- With caste validity certificate (where required), issued by a competent authority in the prescribed format.
- For OBC candidates, the certificate must include a clause stating that the candidate does not belong to the creamy layer. The certificate must be valid as of the date of online registration and should match the Central Government list.
- Disability Certificate (if applicable):
- Issued by the authorized certifying authority in the prescribed format for Persons with Benchmark Disability.
- If a scribe was used during the online examination, the details of the scribe in the prescribed format must be provided.
- Ex-Serviceman Certificate (if applicable):
- Copy of Service or Discharge book along with pension payment order and documentary proof of the last/ current rank.
- For those still in defense service, a certificate from a competent authority confirming relief from defense services by 31.08.2025.
- Income and Asset Certificate (if applicable):
- Issued by one of the authorities notified by the Government of India in the prescribed format for EWS category candidates.
- No Objection Certificate:
- From the current employer if serving in Government/Quasi-Govt. offices/Public Sector Undertakings. Without this certificate, the candidature will not be considered.
- Experience Certificates (if any).
- Registration Certificates (if mentioned in qualifications for AO (Health)).
- Certificate of Eligibility (if applicable):
- For categories (b), (c), (d), and (e) of the nationality criteria, a certificate issued by the Government of India.
- Any Other Relevant Documents in support of eligibility.
Note: Candidates will not be allowed to appear for the interview if they fail to produce the relevant eligibility documents listed above.
7. NIACL AO Recruitment 2024 : How to Apply
Detailed Guidelines/Procedures
A. Application Registration
- Access the Application Portal
- Visit the Recruitment Section of the company’s website www.newindia.co.in.
- Click on “APPLY ONLINE” to open the application screen.
- Register Your Application
- Click on “Click here for New Registration”.
- Enter your Name, Contact Details, and Email ID.
- A Provisional Registration Number and Password will be generated and displayed on the screen. Note these details as they are essential for future logins.
- An email and SMS with the Provisional Registration Number and Password will also be sent to you.
- Save Your Progress
- If you cannot complete the form in one session, click “SAVE AND NEXT” to save the data you’ve entered.
- Use the “SAVE AND NEXT” option to review and modify your application before final submission.
- Verify and Submit
- Verify all details before clicking the “COMPLETE REGISTRATION” button. Changes cannot be made after submission.
- The Name of the candidate or their father/husband must match the Certificates/Mark sheets/Identity proof to avoid disqualification.
- Upload Documents
- Follow the guidelines in section C for uploading your photograph, signature, left thumb impression, and hand-written declaration.
- Preview and Complete Registration
- Click on the “Preview” tab to review your entire application.
- Modify details if necessary and click “COMPLETE REGISTRATION” once all information is verified.
- Payment
- Click on the “Payment” tab to proceed with the payment process.
- Click on “Submit” to finalize your application.
B. Payment of Fees
- Payment Methods
- Payments can be made via Debit Cards (RuPay/Visa/MasterCard/Maestro), Credit Cards, Internet Banking, IMPS, Cash Cards, or Mobile Wallets.
- Complete Payment
- After entering payment details, wait for the confirmation from the server. Avoid pressing the back or refresh button to prevent double charges.
- Receipt Generation
- Upon successful payment, an e-Receipt will be generated. If the e-Receipt is not generated, retry the payment process by logging in again with your Provisional Registration Number and Password.
- Print Confirmation
- Print the e-Receipt and the online Application Form containing fee details. Ensure that the payment was successful if these documents are not generated.
- Security
- Close the browser window after completing your transaction to ensure the security of your data.

- Photograph Specifications
- Recent passport-style color photograph.
- Taken against a light background, preferably white.
- Dimensions: 200 x 230 pixels (preferred).

- No caps, hats, or dark glasses. Religious headwear is allowed but must not cover the face.

- Sign in black ink on white paper.
- The signature should be in normal case (not in CAPITAL LETTERS).

- Left Thumb Impression Specifications
- Impression in black or blue ink on white paper.

- If left thumb is unavailable, use the right thumb or a finger/toe impression as specified.
- Hand-Written Declaration Specifications
- Write the declaration in English on white paper with black ink.
- Dimensions: 800 x 400 pixels (preferred), 10 cm x 5 cm.
- File Size: 50KB–100KB.
- The declaration should not be in CAPITAL LETTERS.
- Scanning and Uploading
- Set scanner resolution to 200 dpi and Color to True Colour.
- Crop images to the edge of the thumb impression/declaration before uploading.
- Save files in .jpg or .jpeg format.
- Ensure files are clear and meet the specified size and dimension requirements.
- Uploading Documents
- Upload files through the provided links on the application form.
- Ensure that the images are clear and correctly placed (photo where the photo should be, signature where the signature should be).
