- B.E. / B.Tech. / B.S. in Metallurgical Engineering / Materials Engineering.
- M.E. / M.Tech. / M.S. in Metallurgical Extraction with 60% or 6.75 CGPA.
- Ph.D. in preferred area of specialization (desirable).

Pay Scale
- Consolidated Salary for Candidates without PhD: ₹57,700.
- Consolidated Salary for Candidates with PhD: ₹64,900.

Selection Process
- Selection will be made through a Walk-in Interview based on the recommendations of a Selection Committee constituted by the Institute.
- Shortlisting Criteria: In case of a large number of applicants, the Institute may implement suitable criteria for shortlisting candidates for the interview, which may include a MCQ-based Written Test and/or evaluation of Educational Qualifications and/or Publications.
