Eligibility Criteria

1. Qualification:

• Essential Qualifications:
  • B.E./B.Tech or M.E./M.Tech (or equivalent Dual Degree) in one of the following branches:
    • Electronics and Communication Engineering
    • Electronics Engineering
    • Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering
    • Computer Science Engineering
    • Electrical Engineering
• Selection Process:
  • Candidates should be selected through one of the following:
    1. National Eligibility Tests such as CSIR-UGC NET (Lectureship/Assistant Professorship) or GATE.
    2. Candidates selected through National-level Examinations conducted by central government departments and institutions, such as:
       • DST (Department of Science and Technology)
       • DBT (Department of Biotechnology)
       • DAE (Department of Atomic Energy)
       • DOS (Department of Space)
       • DRDO (Defence Research and Development Organisation)
       • MoE (Ministry of Education)
       • ICAR (Indian Council of Agricultural Research)
       • ICMR (Indian Council of Medical Research)
       • IITs, IISc, IISER, NISER, etc.
  • Note: A valid GATE/NET score is not mandatory but preferred.

2. Age Limit:

• The maximum age limit for Junior Research Fellow (JRF) is 35 years as on the last date of receiving applications.
• Relaxation:
  • 5 years for SC/ST/PwD candidates.
  • 3 years for OBC (Non-creamy layer) candidates.

Pay Scale

• ₹37,000 per month + HRA as per institute/project norms.

Selection Process

1. Application Screening:

• Only applications submitted as per the guidelines will be considered for the initial screening process.

2. Shortlisting of Candidates:

• Candidates meeting the eligibility and qualification criteria will be shortlisted.

• Shortlisted candidates will be invited for an interview to assess their suitability for the position.
