1. Required Qualifications and Experience
a.) Commercial:
- Qualification:
- Degree in Engineering or a Graduate from a recognized university with an MBA or PG Degree/Diploma in Marketing/Foreign Trade/Sales Management, or a Graduate with CA/ICMA.
b.) Environment:
- Qualification:
- Degree in Civil/Chemical/Mining/Environmental Engineering or PG Degree in Environmental Management/Engineering/Environmental Science/Geology/Chemistry/Botany, or
- PG Degree/Diploma in Environmental Management (2 years duration), or
- Doctorate in Environmental Studies/Impact Assessment from a recognized university/institute.
c.) Geo & QC:
- Qualification:
- M.Sc./M.Sc. (Tech.)/M.Tech in Geology from a recognized university/institute.
d.) Mining:
- Qualification:
- Three years Diploma in Mining Engineering from a recognized university/institute with Foreman’s Certificate of Competency to open cast metalliferous mine, or
- Degree in Mining Engineering from a recognized university/institute with a 2nd Class Mines Manager Certificate of Competency to open cast metalliferous mine.
- Experience:
- Minimum five years post-qualification experience in the relevant field (in case of Diploma holders).
e.) Survey:
- Qualification:
- Three years Diploma in Mining or Diploma in Mines & Mine Surveying from a recognized university/institute and Mine Surveyor’s Certificate of competency under MMR.
- Experience:
- Minimum five years post-qualification experience in the relevant field.
f.) Chemical:
- Qualification:
- M.Sc. (Chemistry) or Degree in Chemical Engineering from a recognized university/institute.
g.) Civil:
- Qualification:
- Three years Diploma in Civil Engineering or Degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized university/institute.
- Experience:
- Minimum five years post-qualification experience in construction, including industrial buildings, conveyor gallery structures, multi-storied RCC buildings, townships, and public utilities (water supply, roads, drainage systems, etc.).
- Working knowledge in drafting software is an added advantage (in case of Diploma holders).
h.) Electrical Discipline:
- Qualification:
- Three years Diploma in Electrical Engineering from a recognized university/institute with Electrical Supervisory Certificate (Mining) of Competency, or
- Degree in Electrical or Electrical & Electronics Engineering from a recognized university/institute.
- Experience:
- Minimum five years post-qualification experience in repairs, overhauling, and maintenance of HT/LT Systems/Installations, HT/LT Machinery, and equipment (in case of Diploma holders).
i.) Industrial Engineering:
- Qualification:
- Degree in Industrial Engineering or Degree in Mining/Mechanical/Production Engineering with PG Degree/Diploma in Industrial Engineering from a recognized university/institute.
j.) Mechanical:
- Qualification:
- Three years Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or Degree in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized university/institute.
- Experience:
- Minimum five years post-qualification experience in maintenance, repairs, and operation of Heavy Earth Moving Equipment like Diesel and Electrical Shovels, Dumpers, Dozers, Drills, and Plant Machinery (in case of Diploma holders).
2. Age Limit
- Maximum Age: 32 years
- Relaxation:
- Upper age limit is relaxable up to 5 years for SC/ST candidates and 3 years for OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) candidates.
- Age relaxation as per government guidelines for PwDs/Ex-Servicemen.
- For departmental candidates (NMDC), age relaxation will be given up to 15 years.

Mode of Selection:
1. Stages of Selection:
- Stage I: Online Test (Computer Based Test)
- Max Marks: 100
- Stage II: Supervisory Skill Test (Qualifying in nature)
- Max Marks: Qualifying (Not included in total marks)
2. Online Test (Computer Based Test):
- Format: Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs)
- Centers: As decided by the management
- Languages: Hindi & English
- Minimum Marks Required for Qualification:
- SC/ST/PwD: 40 marks
- OBC (NCL): 45 marks
- UR & EWS: 50 marks
3. Supervisory Skill Test:
- Nature: Qualifying (marks not included in total)
- Qualifying Marks:
- UR/EWS Candidates: 40% marks
- OBC (NCL) Candidates: 37% marks
- SC/ST/PwD Candidates: 30% marks
4. Ratio for Calling Candidates for Supervisory Skill Test:
- Candidates will be called in the ratio of 1:3 based on marks obtained in the Online Test (CBT), discipline-wise and category-wise.
- If two or more candidates secure equal marks and increase the ratio, all such candidates will be called for the Supervisory Skill Test.
5. Disqualification:
- Candidates who attend the Supervisory Skill Test but fail to secure the qualifying marks will be disqualified from consideration in the final merit list.
6. Procedure for Supervisory Skill Test:
- Conducted in the respective discipline and is mandatory.
- Final selection is based on the Online Test (CBT) score, provided candidates qualify in the Supervisory Skill Test.
7. Merit List Preparation:
- Prepared discipline-wise based on performance in the Online Test (CBT).
8. NMDC Rights:
- NMDC reserves the right to cancel or withdraw any questions from the Online Test (CBT) if necessary.
9. Document Verification:
- Candidates called for the Supervisory Skill Test must produce original documents and self-attested photocopies in support of:
- Age
- Qualification
- Experience
- Caste, etc.
- Candidates failing to produce the required documents will not be permitted to attend the Supervisory Skill Test.
- The decision of NMDC Management regarding this is final.
6. NMDC Recruitment 2024 : Application Fee
Application Fee
- An application fee of Rs. 250/- (non-refundable) is required from all candidates.
- Candidates from SC/ST/PwD/Ex-servicemen categories and departmental candidates of NMDC Ltd. are exempt from the application fee. Proof of exemption must be enclosed; otherwise, the application will be rejected.
a.) Payment Method:
- Payment can be made through UPI, credit card, or online net banking via SBI-Collect.
- Candidates will receive an application form with a Unique Transaction Number upon successful payment, which must be printed for records.
- If a candidate does not receive this confirmation, they must make the payment again. Failed transactions will be refunded within 10 working days.
b.) No Refund of Application Fee:
- The application fee will not be refunded or adjusted against future notifications, including cancellations.

How to Apply
a.) Online Application:

b.) Filling the Application:
- Candidates must fill in all required details in the online application and upload relevant documents and certificates as specified in the notification.
c.) Personal Information:
- Candidates must ensure that their date of birth and name are as per the Matriculation/10th class certificate issued by a recognized board.
d.) Notification and Clarifications:

e.) Documents Required:
- Candidates should keep soft copies of the following documents ready:
- Recent passport-size photograph
- Matriculation/10th certificate
- Certificates supporting qualification and experience

f.) Submission Confirmation:
- After completing the online application, candidates do not need to send a printed application by post.
g.) Call Letters/Admit Cards:
- Call letters/admit cards will be sent via post/email. They can also be generated from the Careers page of the NMDC website.
- NMDC is not responsible for any loss of email due to incorrect email addresses or postal delays. Only candidates with valid call letters/admit cards will be allowed to appear for the Online Test (CBT)/Supervisory Skill Test.
