6. Odisha High Court DEO Recruitment 2024 : Selection Process
The selection for the Junior Grade Typist/Data Entry Operator position will involve several stages: a Preliminary Examination, a Language Test, a Computer Application Test, a Main Written Examination, and a Viva-Voce.
Preliminary Examination (Qualifying)

Test Details:
- Typewriting Task: Candidates must type the contents from a printed matter (approximately 400 words) at a speed of 40 words per minute.
Scoring and Evaluation:
- Accuracy: 1 mark will be deducted for each mistake in the typed script.
- Omission of Words: Considered as mistakes.
- Disqualification: Candidates with more than 20 mistakes will be disqualified.
Note:
- The Main Written Examination focuses on evaluating typing speed and accuracy in English.
Viva-Voce (20 Marks)
Details:
- Marks: 20
- Purpose: The marks obtained in the Viva-Voce Test will be combined with the marks from the Main Written Examination (Typewriting Test in English) to determine the total score.
Minimum Requirement:
- Candidates must secure at least 40% in the Viva-Voce Test to be included in the Merit List.
Order of Merit:

- Tie-Breaker:
