To apply online for TPSC 2024, candidates must fulfill the eligibility criteria discussed in this section:
a) TPSC Recruitment 2024 Age Limit as on 19.10.2024
Age Limit
- Maximum Age: 40 years as of 19th October 2024.
- Relaxation:
- SC/ST/PH Candidates: The upper age limit is relaxable by 5 years.
- Government Employees: The age relaxation for government servants is also 5 years.
- Combined Relaxation: Government employees who belong to SC/ST/PH categories are eligible for the standard relaxation of 5 years, but they will not receive additional relaxation beyond this.
b) TPSC Recruitment 2024 Educational Qualification
Educational Qualifications
- Medical Qualification:
- A medical qualification included in the First or Second Schedule, or Part-II of the Third Schedule (excluding Licentiate qualifications) to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956.
- For holders of educational qualifications included in Part-II of the Third Schedule, compliance with the conditions stipulated in Section 13(3) of the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956 is required.
- Internship and Registration:
- Completion of internship.
- Permanent Registration Certificate from any State Medical Council or the Medical Council of India.
c) Other Requirements
- Residency Requirement:
- Applicants must have a Permanent Resident Certificate of Tripura (PRTC). This requirement is in accordance with the GA(P&T) Department Notification dated 07-07-2023.
- Disability Consideration:
- Candidates with benchmark disabilities will be considered as per the Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment, Government of India guidelines under “The Persons with Disabilities (Equal Opportunities, Protection of Rights and Full Participation) Act, 1995,” as detailed in the Gazette publication dated 15th January 1996 and subsequent amendments.

- Recruitment Stages:
- Written Examination: 85 marks (MCQ type, OMR based) with a duration of 2 hours.
- Interview/Viva: 15 marks.
- Written Examination Details:
- For the detailed syllabus and selection process, refer to Health & Family Welfare Department Notification No. F.3(457)- HFW/2019 dated 26.10.2022 (Annexure-I).
- Personality Test:
- Marks Allotted: 15 marks.
- Purpose: To assess personal qualities such as intellectual ability, social traits, interest in current affairs, critical power of judgment, variety and depth of interest, leadership ability, and moral integrity.
- Selection Ratio: Candidates will be called for the Personality Test based on the Written Examination results, in the following ratio:
- 1 Vacancy: 5 candidates.
- 2 Vacancies: 8 candidates.
- 3 Vacancies and Above: 3 times the number of vacancies.
- Candidates scoring equal marks to the last selected candidate for the Personality Test will also be called.
- Final Selection:
- Basis: Merit based on marks obtained in the Written Examination (85 marks) and the Interview (15 marks).
- Absence in Interview: Candidates absent in the interview will not be considered for the final merit list.
- Tie-Breaker: In case of a tie in marks:
- Age Seniority: Candidates with seniority in age will be preferred.
- Educational Qualification: For candidates of the same age and equal marks, the percentage of marks in the minimum educational qualification will be considered.
- Merit List: Prepared based on category-wise marks.
- Additional Information:
- Interview Requirement: Candidates must appear in all papers of the Written Examination to be eligible for the Interview/Personality Test.
- Recommendation and Waiting List: The procedure for merit and waiting lists is based on the above criteria.

Other Important Information
- Online Application Portal:
- Submission: Applications must be submitted through the Online Application Portal only. Hard copy applications will not be entertained.
- Portal Availability: The Online Application Portal will be accessible from 10.09.2024 to 19.10.2024 (5:30 PM) on the Commission’s website https://tpsconline.in or https://tpsc.tripura.gov.in.
- One Time Profile Registration (OTPR): Applicants must register their bio-data through OTPR before applying. A User ID will be sent to the registered mobile number and email ID.
- Multiple Applications: Avoid submitting multiple applications. If multiple applications are submitted, ensure that only the one with the latest Receipt Number is complete in all respects. The fee paid for one Receipt Number will not be adjusted against another.
- Document Submission:
- No Upload Required Initially: Candidates are not required to upload or submit any certificates/documents with the application.
- Provisional Admission: Admission to all stages of the examination is provisional and subject to meeting eligibility criteria. Mere issue of the admission certificate does not imply final clearance.
- Post Examination Submission: After the Written Examination, successful candidates must submit self-attested copies of relevant documents, including:

- Final Decision: The decision of the Commission regarding eligibility at any stage is final.
- Evaluation: Assessment and evaluation of answer scripts are final and not open to external scrutiny.
- Examination Venue: The venue will be closed 10 minutes before the scheduled commencement of the examination. No entry will be allowed after closure.
